Welcome to my Circle

It's amazing what one can do in this world. The ability to take the trivial and turn it inside out so that we are seeing not what is or what was, but what might have been. A journey of 1000 steps begins with one.

Light a candle and step into my circle.

TravelBlog: Hershey Park & Chocalate World

We stopped at Chocolate World on the way to Hershey Park proper. I tried the 3-in-1 mini desert and the Chocolate Lava Cake. This combination may have been a mistake as I immediately got sick and overdosed on too much chocolate. To be fair who knew they would pile the chocolate lava cake so high?

The monorail at this park shows a few interesting rides (which you can never find once you get back on the ground). Mainly though the rail is showing the factory and the massive parking lot outside of the park. Even for that it was a nice diversion.

Next began a grand walking tour. The thought of a roller coaster ride will a belly full of chocolate was making me sick just to think about it. Somehow after a view of many rides and a lot of walking someone in the group spotted a person eating a turkey leg. Thus began the journey of the turkey leg.

Well after a few miles of aimless wandering and without any clear signs at all we found Freeman's Texas Grill (under the red bridge, at the bottom of the hill, facing the roller coaster - the other one). The turkey leg was dry. The chicken leg I am told was good (I was still full from Chocolate World). I tried a bite of the ribs which was good.

Some things of note at Hershey that may serve the common good:

Beware Chocolate World - its too tempting

Never search for the Turkey Leg at Freeman's

Always use the lockers near the entrance

Watch the over eating

Prepare for long lines

If the soda machine eats your five dollars ask a local vendor for your money back until he gives it to you

Don't search for your bus after your visit, let them find you (its hopeless anyway)
